Abstract
Este artículo se propone analizar la vinculación entre los discursos de nivel transnacional de generación de política social para América Latina y las transformaciones que ha transitado la definición de la cuestión social en Argentina las últimas tres décadas. Sostenemos que el desplazamiento de la cuestión social entendida como pobreza a su redefinición como desigualdad toma cuerpo en el pasaje de la asistencia social ligada a la lucha contra la pobreza y la emergencia de los programas de transferencia condicionada de ingresos a la renacionalización del sistema previsional en 2008 y la implementación de la Asignación Universal por Hijo en 2009, políticas basadas en un enfoque de derechos orientado a la protección social.
