Abstract
A finales de enero de 2015, Cuba y Estados Unidos iniciaron conversaciones para restablecer sus vínculos diplomáticos y continuar con el largo proceso hacia la normalización de sus relaciones. ¿Por qué ambos gobiernos deciden reanudar sus contactos formales y oficiales? Este trabajo tiene la intención de aportar ideas sobre el acontecimiento más importante para la región en la época actual. La política seguida por Washington hacia Cuba desde 1959 responde a sus intereses nacionales, pero también al contexto regional y mundial. ¿Hay perdedores y ganadores?
