Abstract
El objetivo de este ensayo es analizar un corpus de artículos y notas de tema necrológico, publicados en la Revista de Filosofía, Cultura, Ciencias y Educación, que José Ingenieros fundó en 1915 y se editó hasta 1929 (bajo la dirección de Aníbal Ponce, en los últimos cuatro años). Nos interesa detectar cuáles son los sujetos que merecen esa suerte de homenaje póstumo (generalmente científicos y educadores), así como su relación con la concepción de la cultura moderna que es dominante en esta publicación. Asimismo, analizamos las tipologías discursivas empleadas, en el marco de las modalidades de la es-critura biográfica.
