Abstract

El presente artículo valora la relación de Francisco de Miranda con la Masonería, a partir de que los resultados expuestos en una importante muestra de las obras en las que se aborda este tema, señalan la existencia de criterios dispersos y hasta contrapuestos. En su desarrollo se analizan los principales autores y obras que abordan este tema, particularizando en aquellos aspectos medulares, como son la posible pertenencia mirandina a la congregación masónica, el momento de su iniciación, las logias fundadas bajo su dirección y las personalidades iniciadas bajo su égida masónica.
