Abstract

In this paper i analize Ricardo Piglia’s novel Respiración artificial, 1980. I take a look at the author’s fictionalized account of the relations between writers and the repressive state powers during Argentina’s last military government. Piglia links the situation with Rosas’ dictatorship in the 19th  century, irigoyenism in the 1930s, and the nazi regime. also, he proposes a unique approach to literature-history-philosophy relations.
