Lope de Aguirre: rebelión y contraimagen del mundo en Perú

Abstract
En 1561 Lope de Aguirre encabezó la última rebelión de importancia contra la Corona española en el virreinato del Perú. Buena parte de la literatura histórica respectiva ha caracterizado al personaje como un traidor o un loco, empero, el presente estudio propone un análisis del caudillo y de su alzamiento desde el horizonte histórico de la cultura política de su época, en términos de pacto y vasallaje.
