Abstract
El objetivo de este artículo es analizar el papel de la Revista Moderna (1898-1903) y de su continuadora la Revista Moderna de México (1903-1911) en el proceso de difusión y recepción de la obra de José Enrique Rodó en el ámbito mexicano, con particular referencia al periodo 1895-1917. A través del diálogo que la investigación hemerográfica establece con la archivística, el estudio de las dos publicaciones permite comprender la influencia que el ensayista uruguayo tuvo en la formación intelectual de algunos representantes del Ateneo de la Juventud.
Abstract: The aim of this paper is to analyze the role of the Revista Moderna (1898-1903) and its continuation, the Revista Moderna de México (1903-1911), in the process of reception and dissemination of the work of José Enrique Rodó in the Mexican literary scene, with particular reference to the lapse from 1895 to 1917. The dialogue between hemerographic and archival research makes it possible for us to understand the influence of the Uruguayan essayist on the intellectual formation of some members of the Ateneo de la Juventud.
