Abstract
El objetivo de este artículo es hacer una revisión de las principales teorías de las ciencias sociales aplicadas al pentecostalismo latinoamericano, seleccionando a autores y autoras más reconocidos de México, Ecuador, Chile, Argentina y Brasil. En términos generales, las teorías aplicadas al pentecostalismo latinoamericano, se pueden sintetizar en cinco presupuestos: religión popular; teoría de la comunicación; movimiento social; dramaturgia y de las emociones.
