Abstract
El siguiente artículo tiene como objetivo mostrar el fenómeno del
nacionalismo aymara en Bolivia actual. Se presenta un corto esbozo del debate intelectual acerca del concepto de nación, destacando su dimensión
étnica. Se compara el proceso de formación nacional de los pueblos de Europa Central-Oriental con la trayectoria aymara, subrayando los momentos
clave en su constitución como nación étnica. El texto expone la ideología
etnonacionalista aymara, así como la historia, corrientes y acciones de su
portavoz político, el katarismo. Se presentan también las recientes iniciativa
