Importancia del Istmo Centroamericano en la Política Exterior de México en el Siglo XXI

Abstract
El presente artículo tiene como finalidad revisar la importancia del istmo centroamericano, particularmente en la política exterior de México en el siglo xxi, luego de que se han impulsado proyectos y programas que pretenden revertir las condiciones estructurales que han incidido para que prevalezca un alto margen de desigualdad en su población y, como consecuencia, que se genere una migración forzada. Se expone, por ello, un breve contexto de la región, a fin de entender el proceso histórico de las condiciones políticas, económicas y sociales que convergen en esos países.
