Abstract
En este texto se analizan las construcciones visuales formuladas
sobre los grupos originarios latinoamericanos, enfatizando la existencia actual
de una lucha por las representaciones, ya que en ellas se sintetizan
ejercicios de poder y dominación. Este fenómeno se contrasta con la resistencia
que los grupos indígenas han emprendido ante la colonialidad de las
imágenes, mediante el manejo de los medios de comunicación audiovisual.
Se tejen las relaciones entre política, cultura e imagen para demostrar el
conflicto de los indígenas latinoamericanos frente a las hegemonías culturales
y económicas.
