Abstract
La educación es un tema que ha estado permanentemente en el debate público de Chile desde hace bastantes años. Las reformas educacionales de los gobiernos democráticos, posteriores a la dictadura militar, no han logrado dar con una solución al problema estructural de segregación que afecta al sistema educativo, y que se remonta incluso a tiempos previos a la dictadura militar. Este trabajo intenta hacer una aproximación global a esta situación, al clarificar algunos de los problemas estructurales del modelo educativo chileno.
